As a Top 50 member of FTD since 2003, Simon Says Roses has created a preferred list of flower shops that have been approved by floral experts (you, our customers!!). These shops have provided our customers with the highest standards of quality and value over a number of years. Whether you are sending flowers down the street or out of the area, we can help you do both in compliance with the professional standards set forth by Simon Says Roses and FTD. It’s not necessarily the closest, but always the best florists that design and deliver our orders.

Our commitment to you is to provide you with the same convenient and professional service that customers who patronize our in-house stores have come to expect.

Flower Delivery Information

If you order by 12:00 noon in the recipient's time zone, we can typically have your flowers hand-delivered on the same day Monday through Saturday. Orders received after 12:00 noon on Saturday for same day delivery, or for Sunday delivery cannot be guaranteed, and may be rescheduled for Monday delivery. Sunday delivery is sometimes possible, if we can manage to find a shop that is open, with a trained designer, AND a delivery service. There will be an additional $9.99 delivery/service charge for Sunday delivery.

 

Time Specific Florist Deliveries

It is extremely difficult to guarantee delivery at a specific time. Regular deliveries occur between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. If a rush delivery is necessary, we are normally able to have your order delivered within four business hours of processing your orders with our express delivery option, for an extra fee from $9.99 to $29.99. This fee covers the cost of the courier, employee or taxi for off-route or non-scheduled deliveries. Requests for morning (anytime up to noon), afternoon (anytime from noon to 6pm), or delivery after 6:00pm can typically occur at no additional charge, if 24 hours advance notice is provided.
 
You may request a time frame in the additional instruction box when ordering.

 

Normal Delivery Times:

Normal delivery times are 10am-5pm daily for orders going to a business, 6pm for orders to a residence, hotel, or hospital, and 2pm for orders going to a high school.
During major holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day our florists operate extended hours and delivery times are 8am-8pm.

 

Greeting Card Messages

  Our standard greeting card measures 2” x 3”, suitable for messages up to 25 words. Messages exceeding this length will automatically result in the purchase of a Custom Greeting Card for $3.99, allowing messages up to 50 words in length. Card messages over 50 words will be edited to below the 50 word maximum. We reserve the right to charge a $3.99 re-processing fee for changes to a greeting card message once processed, so please ensure the card message is accurate!

 

Discount and/or Promotion Codes

Simon Says Roses has different types of discounts/promotion codes which can be utilized:

1.      Online (not telephone order) purchase discounts. On certain catalog pages, there is a Promotion Code which must be inserted in the Additional Instructions field of our online order form. This Promotion Code must be exact for the discount to take effect, and will be credited when the credit card is processed, not when you check-out. The discount will be shown separately when we email your Order Confirmation Invoice.

2.      Private Collection or Weekly Special email discounts to returning customers only. These emails direct existing customers to an Exclusive section of our website not available to the general public with deep discount offers.

3.      The Simon Says Roses lifetime promotion code. Available to our long-time customers which allows for 10% off all product purchases. This Promotion Code is effective for both online and telephone orders, and must be provided before order processing is completed.

 

Each type of promotion can be used once on an order. Promotions cannot be combined.

 

Funerals

These orders are our very highest priority. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. At a minimum, we need the name, address/phone number of the funeral home. We normally arrange to contact the funeral home anyway to verify the time of the viewing and make arrangements for the flower delivery.
If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual viewing we will deliver to the viewing per the funeral home instructions. If you have ordered for a funeral viewing on Sunday and it is too late to deliver on Saturday or Sunday, we will contact the funeral home to verify that there is a viewing or service on Monday and reschedule the order.

 

Banners for Funeral Arrangements

Due to the time-sensitivity of delivering funeral orders, if a banner is not available, we will fill your order to value, substituting the banner with more flowers for an even fuller arrangement.

 

High Schools

High schools normally do not accept deliveries for students. Please send teacher's gifts to the high school and any student orders to their residence.  Orders to high schools should be placed early because they usually must be delivered by 2pm.

 

PO Boxes

We are unable to deliver flowers to a P.O. Box .

 

Rural Routes and Remote Locations

We occasionally have trouble delivering to some rural routes, smaller communities, and outlying areas. We will contact you if service is unavailable. In some cases, delivery to such rural areas is available for an additional fee; we will contact you if such a situation arises.

 

If no one is home

Depending on the delivery location, if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbour. We reserve the right to call first to ensure that somebody is home to minimize both our delivery costs and possible damaged product.

 

Total Prices

For florist delivered products the delivery/service fee is $9.99. The total price of your order will be calculated and shown on your detailed Order Confirmation invoice and depends upon factors such as delivery date, if the order is expedited, tax rates, greeting card message exceeding minimums, rural areas, etc. Please review this invoice carefully for any errors, omissions, or additions to your purchase.

 

Incorrect Addresses

If the recipient's address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there is a $10 address correction fee. Simon Says Roses is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.

 

Cancelling or Changing an Order

Florist Delivered Products:
Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. Due to the urgent nature of florist delivered products we are unable to cancel or change orders already in process at the florist, en route or delivered. Cancellation once your credit card is processed but prior to processing by the florist will involve a refund for the flower costs but retention of our $9.99 delivery/service charge to cover processing fees. With changes in greeting card messages once processed, there is a $3.99 service charge for re-processing. To cancel or change an order that has not been processed at the florist level, please call 800-705-7673(ROSE).

 

Pricing:

Prices shown below product images do not include our delivery/service fees. Many products are available in Regular, Deluxe, and Premium sizes that you can upgrade to.

 

Pricing for Holidays:

Some items increase in price around major holidays. Prices normally only increase from Feb 1st until Feb 21st (around Valentine's Day).

 

Price Change:

Some local florists have minimum dollar amounts for orders. We are committed to matching you with a local florist that can fill your order for your selected item(s)'s paid dollar-amount. However, there are rare occasions when the most cost-effective local florist's minimum exceeds the amount you paid for your selected item(s). We will contact you if such a situation arises.

 

Card Messages:

The message that you write in the Card Message field does not include any billing information with your order. For unsigned card messages on phone orders, we reserve the right to reveal the sender’s information to the recipient. Unsigned online orders will not be accepted.

 

Alcohol:

We cannot include alcohol with orders delivered in Canada & the U.S., as we cannot always guarantee that the recipient is above the legal age for alcohol consumption. International delivery of alcohol varies by country. Please refer to the product catalogue for the country in question

 

Request To Leave Item at Door

The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We highly discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient or their designate cannot accept the arrangement themselves. Simon Says Roses cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty product due to this special request.

 

Recipient Refusal of Delivery

If the recipient refuses to accept a delivery, you may be held fully liable for the cost of the gift.

 

Substitution Policy:

Fresh Flowers

At Simon Says Roses we are committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time and as fresh and beautiful as possible. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value. We will make every effort to maintain the "look and feel" of the arrangement  by considering the overall shape, size, style, and color combinations. In single-variety arrangements, the variety will take precedence over colour. For instance, if an order is for yellow daisies, we may substitute another colour of daisies, not another yellow flower. White roses and cream roses may be substituted for each other as well as peach roses and pink roses. Purple and pink orchids may need to be substituted for white orchids and visa versa.

 

Balloons

Some hospitals do not allow latex balloons with an arrangement. Mylar balloons may need to be substituted for latex balloons on some orders.

 

Plants

For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another colour. Containers for plants will be as close as possible to that depicted.

 

Gift Baskets

Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery.

 

Substitutions for Special Occasions

Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery, if the flowers you requested are not available. 

 

Fees & Tax rates

Flowers in the U.S.A.

 The prices in our U.S.A. florists catalog apply to all states except Alaska and Hawaii, states in which a premium price may apply for certain arrangements due to increased wholesale flower shipping charges.

 For florist delivered items (usually same day) we charge a $9.51 regular delivery/service charge plus tax and from $14.99 to $24.99 expedited delivery/service charge if required (see above).

We reserve the right to retain a $9.51 service charge plus tax on orders cancelled prior to delivery, to cover our transmission/order processing costs.

There is no tax on the flowers. The only tax is 5% on the service/delivery charge only.

Flowers in Canada

Our Canadian tax rates vary by province, as noted below:

 British Columbia has a combined provincial and federal tax rate of 12% applied to flowers, and 5% federal tax (GST) applied to delivery/service charges.

 Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, North West Territories, and Yukon Territory have 5% GST applied to both flowers and delivery/service charges. NO PROVINCIAL SALES TAXES APPLY.

 Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia have a harmonized provincial and federal sales tax of 13% applied to flowers, and 5% federal tax applied to flower delivery/service charges.

 For florist delivered items (usually same day) we charge a $9.99 regular delivery/service charge and from $9.99 to $24.99 expedited delivery/service charge (see above).

 We reserve the right to substitute product of greater or equal value, should a specific type of flower or plant not currently be available.

 We reserve the right to retain a $9.99 service charge on orders cancelled prior to delivery, to cover our transmission/order processing costs.
